Coppia rara e gentile,
Poi ch'altra unqua simile,
Con laccio avinta di si fido amore,
Non vide in terra'l sole
Tempo non mai vi scioglia,
Ma'l ciel sempre ogni vostra giusta voglia,
V'adempia e doni prole,
Che con eterno honore,
Conservi al mondo poi,
Piu felice memoria ogn' hor di voi.

English.png English translation

Rare and gentle couple,
since any another of its kind,
tied by such faithful love
the sun never saw on earth,
may time never untie you,
but the heavens always every right desire
satisfy and give you progeny
that with eternal honour
may then preserve in the world
a happier memory of you always.
(translation: Franco Piperno)
