John Travers

Died: June 1758

Biography

John Travers was a choirboy at St. George's Chapel, Windsor and a pupil of Maurice Greene and Johann Christoph Pepusch. He was organist at several parish churches in London, including St. Paul's, Covent Garden (1727) and Fulham. He was appointed organist to the Chapel Royal in 1737 and remained in that post until his death in 1758.
