Description: A "Mass in C major" destroyed by Brahms, who extensively reworked the Benedictus & Agnus in Warum ist das Licht gegeben dem Mühseligen, Op. 74, No. 1. A copy made by Julius Grimm surfaced in 1978 and was paired with the Kyrie in g minor to make up a ferial Missa brevis for the first edition.
