Editor: Edmund Gooch (submitted 2013-01-24).   Score information: A4, 2 pages, 58 kB   Copyright: Public Domain
Edition notes: The original order of staves is Alto - Tenor - Bass - Soprano - Instrumental Bass, with the alto part printed in the treble clef an octave above sounding pitch. The first verse only of the text is given in the original: subsequent verses have been added editorially, on the basis of the title 'Psalm 116th. Verses 1 2 5/6 & 7' in the original. The following notes are printed as small grace notes in the source, and have been editorially written out in full: bar 2, beat 1, soprano B; bar 9, beat 1, soprano A and alto F. Cues printed in the source in small notes which double the alto and tenor parts on the soprano and instrumental bass staves for keyboard accompaniment have been omitted, although the accompanying part a third below the soprano for the first four bars has been retained: this could be played by an accompanying instrument or sung as a divisi soprano part.
