Per qual cagion havete, Donna,
Del mio morir cotanta sete?
Perchè col tuo morire
Ti punirò del tuo si grand’ardire

Perchè soverchio amore,
Donna, chiamate ardir e non ardore?
Amor che passa il segno
Dell 'honestate, è di tal nome indegno.

Dunque mia tanta fede
Sarà, Donna crudel, senza mercede?
Havrà tua fede infida
Mercè ch'ogn'hora a morte ti disfida.

Poi che pur morir deggio
Donna, per vostre man la morte chieggio;
Morte soverchio grata
Saria morir per man di Donna amata.
