Hi James, This actually is not like C. Wesley published it in 1749 (see this page). Each line of meter (S. M. D.) is capitalized, as was common in the 17th and 18th centuries, and is followed in CPDL, as far as I can see (see almost any Psalm). So I propose to do this in parallel columns, like this, with explanations of the various combinations of stanzas in common use. Cheers. — Barry Johnston (talk) 19:20, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
