Shouldn't these nine works pages linked here be titled differently, either by their first lines or else by their Psalm? So the first one would be either Man blest no doubt (Thomas Tallis) or Psalm 1 (Thomas Tallis). I can take care of it if need be. -- Barry Johnston, Bcjohnston523 (talk) 02:51, 16 October 2015 (UTC)

I was thinking the same, Barry. The current titles are not very intuitive or useful to users searching for the tunes. We must also change the title for this main page, as it's not accurate: the last tune is not a psalm tune, but a Veni Creator Spiritus. We could adopt the same title used on Wikipedia: w:Tunes for Archbishop Parker's Psalter. Regards, —Carlos (talk) Email.gif 18:29, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
Tricky: "The Third Tune" is so indexed in Hymnal 82 but more widely known as THIRD MODE MELODY. Veni Creator is unnumbered but apparently called TALLIS' ORDINAL. I did a little sorting though at Thomas Tallis#Nine Compositions for Archbishop Parker's Psalter, 1567. BTW and for what it's worth, 'psalm' can be pretty generic: Salmi for Vespers typically include Magnificat. Richard Mix (talk) 04:37, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
