Hi Carlos... Why only "ALWAYS ADD TEST VALUES IN ALL LOWER CASE HERE! On the works page the parameter passed can be in any case"? Does it make a difference if upper case appears here? -- Chucktalk Giffen 05:21, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi Chuck, it's because I introduced the magic word lc: in the test: {{lc:{{{1|}}}}}. It converts whatever is being passed as parameter to all lower case, so the testing values must be also in lower case if we want them to match. Before, if we wanted to know Adrian Cuello's site, we had to use "{{website|Adrian Cuello}}"; now all the following forms are allowed: "{{website|Adrian Cuello}}", "{{website|adrian cuello}}", "{{website|ADRIAN CUELLO}}", "{{website|AdRiAn CuElLo}}" etc. —Carlos Email.gif 20:48, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Fair enough, Carlos. But then perhaps we should have a documentation box in addition to (or instead of) the commented out instruction about lc in the text of the template? -- Chucktalk Giffen 13:52, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Chuck, I believe we need both things: a general (visible) documentation for everyone who may come to apply this template, and also an internal (invisible) comment to work as a reminder for editors of this template only (i.e. sysops). I'll rewrite the internal comment to sound a bit less rude; would you like to write the general documentation? —Carlos Email.gif 17:41, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Wima & IMSLP

Some hints about how to update pages with Wima links like Rorate, rorate coeli, SWV 322 (Heinrich Schütz) would be much appreciated, either here on Talk or in documentation. Richard Mix (talk) 20:50, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi Richard! As a matter of fact, WIMA links are not broken, they just redirect to the equivalent composer category at IMSLP. But if you wish to point to the proper works page at IMSLP, please use the following syntax:
{{IMSLPWork|Kleine geistliche Konzerte II, Op.9 (Schütz, Heinrich)}}
