Description: The text "Lift up your heads, O ye gates" is used twice in the propers: first as a gradual in Advent, and second as an offertory at Christmas. There are settings for both occasions, each combining a polyphonic antiphon with the appropriate verses. Besides its catholic use as a Gradual in Advent and an Offertory at Christmas, it can also be used as an anthem in Anglican services.
