New username

Hello Andreas. I see that you created this new username; are you having difficulty logging in with your old username Andersten? Would you like to recover it, or do you prefer to stick to this new one? Regards, —Carlos (talk) 05:01, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi! I did acctualy forget my old user name due to a pause in posting scores on CPDL & having changed computers a few times since last posting. I'll think I'll stick to the new one thoug as it is easier for me to remember (I hope).
Yours & c.
No problem! In this case, I've brought your contributions history from the old username to the new one, so that you may look it up more easily. All the best, —Carlos (talk) 11:54, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
Thanks a lott!!

Ich stund

Hi Andreas,

I made a disambiguation page for Ich stund an einem Morgen (Ludwig Senfl) and hope it's a help! Richard Mix (talk) 05:20, 14 July 2019 (UTC)

Magnificat qvintii toni (even verses) (Duarte Lobo)

Hi Andreas, Your template for Magnificats still has "Guerrero" as composer. The Lobo editions are otherwise admirable! If you have time to update them you can go to the filepages (File:Duarte-Lobo-Magnificat-Quintii-toniB-titlepage.pdf in this case) and use the "Upload a new version of this file" link. Richard Mix (talk) 21:35, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Richard,
All should now be shipshape and Bristol fashion though I had some problems loading a new version for the Quitii toni even verses setting.
Andreas
I remember now being confused myself by the long latency in updating files. Congratulations on success, and thanks! Richard Mix (talk) 21:14, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

In exitu - Mixtus tonus falsibordoni (Tomás Luis de Victoria)

Dear Andreas

thanks a lot for your many contributions. When I search music for liturgical use I regularly come across your name. However, this time, I think, I found a little mistake in one of your editions: In exitu - Mixtus tonus falsibordoni (Tomás Luis de Victoria)

The first half verse after the reciting tones sounded a bit strange, so I compared it with the source:

https://www.digitale-sammlungen.de/en/view/bsb00080786?page=38,39

The bass line is different, I think the Lilypond code should be the following:

 bassMusic = \relative c {
 \override Staff.BarLine.transparent = ##t
 d2 g,2
 \once \revert Staff.BarLine.transparent
 d'\longa
 b2 f'2 c1
 f,1
 \once \revert Staff.BarLine.transparent
 c'\longa
 g2 b2 f2. g4 a1
 d\longa
 \revert Staff.BarLine.transparent
 }

Maybe you could check and correct that for future users. Thanks again! – Smt (talk)

Thanks you for notifying me!

The typo is by now corrected.

Laudi spirituali

Hello Andreas,

You have done an amazing amount of work with these! Thank you very much. I see four pages here:

  1. Il terzo libro delle laudi spirituali – Cat: Sheet music, Music publications. Two pdf’s:
    a. CPDL 59904. “The three-part laudi spirituale”. Nos. 1-12 and 14-23 (22 laudi) of this publication; renumbered 1-22 in the pdf. Spelling differences between the pdf and the list on the page.
    b. CPDL 70919. “All the four-part laudi”. Nos. 24-35 (12 laudi) of this publication; renumbered 23-33 in the pdf, subsuming no. 31 of the page list to “Seconda parte” of no. 30. Spelling differences between the pdf and the list on the page.
No. 13 (Figlio dicea del sommo eterno patre) doesn’t appear in either of these, it seems.
  2. Il terzo libro delle laudi spirituali a 4 (Anonymous). Cat: Sheet music. One pdf, CPDL 70919, duplicate of 1b above.
  3. 25 three-part Laudi Spirituale (Various) – Cat: Sheet music. Redirect from “25 three-part Laudi Spirituale”. One pdf, CPDL 47847. “This is the 25 first songs from a very large collection of Laudi Spirituale, Tempio armonico della Beatissima Vergine, printed in Rome by Nicola Muti in 1599.” Numbered 1-6, 7.1-7.9, 8-17.
  4. Tempio armonico – Cat: Music publications. No music files. Some of these have work pages of their own. The list of works correlates the first 25 with works on page 3 above.

In my opinion, page 2 should be deleted, since the pdf and description already appear in page 1. Page 1 needs some cleanup work. To make this more consistent, page 3 should be added to page 4. Page 3’s title is ambiguous, and composer is not “Anonymous”. Redirect page should be deleted. What do you think? I can make changes (except for the cleanup) if you wish. — Barry Johnston (talk) 16:56, 23 September 2022 (UTC)

Hi Barry! Yes, please do any clean-up you find appropriate. Regarding the "No 13 Figlio dicea del sommo patre" in the three-part ones. It is there but printed in sequence with no 12 "Vidi una virginella" of which it consists the second part. – Andreas Stenberg (talk) 19:03, 2022-09-28
I renumbered the list on the page Il terzo libro delle laudi spirituali to match the numbering on your pdf's, and made page 2 into a redirect. I also merged the content of page 3 into Tempio armonico, and reduced page 3 to a redirect; also reformatted the list on Tempio armonico. — Barry Johnston (talk) 02:03, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
Thanks Barry!
