Hello and welcome to CPDL. Thank you for your translations. I've moved the text and translation from the Michael Praetorius page to here, because (1) that work is not currently available at CPDL, and (2) you have overwritten a redirect template placed at the top of the Praetorius page. If you could, please be careful not to overwrite or remove material already there which is important. Finally, to add a Dutch translation, you should type

{{translation|Dutch}}

on a line by itself, with no
at the end. I'm sure you'll get used to the wiki way of doing things quickly, so don't feel discouraged at these helpful hints. -- Chucktalk Giffen 02:28, 10 August 2008 (PDT)

Nach grüner Farb mein Herz verlangt (Praetorius) (vertaling Nico de Glas)

German.png German text

1. Nach grüner Farb mein Herz verlangt
In dieser trüben Zeit.
Der grimmig Winter wärt so lang,
Der Weg ist mir verschneit.
Die süssen Vöglein jung und alt
Die höhrt man lang nit mehr;
Das tut des argen Winters G’walt,
Der treibt die Vöglein aus dem Wald
Mit Reif und kaltem Schnee.
2. Er macht die bunten Blümlein fahl
Im Wald und auf der Heid’
Dem Laub und Gras allüberall,
Dem hat er widersaid.
All Freud’ und Lust wird jetzto feil
Die uns der Sommer bringt.
Gott geb dem Sommer Glück und Heil,
Der zieht nach Mittentag am Seil,
Daß er den Winter zwingt.

Dutch.png Dutch translation

Naar groene kleur verlangt mijn hart
In deze trieste maand
De harde winter duurt zo lang
De sneeuw verspert de baan.
De lieve vogels jong en oud
Die hoort men lang niet meer
Dat doet des Winters macht zo koud
Die drijft de vogels uit het woud
Met sneeuw en ijzig weer

Hij maakt de bonte bloempjes vaal
In heideveld en woud
En gras en lover overal
Dat maakt hij dood en koud
En alle vreugde en lust zijn heen
Waarmee de zomer ons omringt
God geve dat de zomer vlug
De junidagen brengt terug
en koude en ijs verdringt.

Help

Welcome! I learned how to indicate translations recently. Here are some links to additional reference information that I found helpful.

If you are adding a Dutch translation to a score page whose score has original text in another language, typing {{Translation|Dutch}} on its own separate line adds the flag automatically. You would then type the Dutch translation below it (adding the
symbols to indicate line breaks where you want them).

Similarly, you can use {{Text|Dutch}} to indicate if the original text shown on the score itself is in Dutch before typing the text of the lyrics found on the score. Then you would indicate {{Translation|English}} before entering the English translation.

There is documentation at Help:How_can_I_add_a_text_or_translation?. General reference information about templates (the term for the things inside the curly brackets that cau) is at Help:CPDL_Templates#Text_.26_translation_templates. For an example of how these templates are used, see this score page--clicking the edit link above the translations allows you to see the code used so you can understand how it was done. If you want to practice first, you could test it on your own talk page by clicking

The folks here on CPDL have been very supportive. You'll master it quickly, I'm sure.
