Latin.png Latin text

Veni, veni sancte Spiritus,
Veni et emitte cœlitus
lucis tuæ radium.
Veni, veni Pater pauperum,
Veni, veni dator munerum,
Veni lumen cordium,

Veni consolator optime,
dulcis hospes Animæ,
dulce refrigerium
In labore requies
in æstu tempries
in flectu solatium

O lux beatissima,
reple cordis intima
tuorum fidelium.
Alleluja, Alleluja.

English.png English translation

Come, come, Holy Spirit,
Come, and send
Thy light ray.
Come, come, Father of the poor;
Come, come, creator of the world,
Come, light of the heart,

Come, the best comforter,
sweet refuge of the soul,
sweet refresher,
Relief in toil
and consolation
in these hard times,

Light most beautiful,
Enliven the innermost hearts
of your faithful.
Alleluja, alleluja.
