All the angels sing
for the newborn king
for to praise the Lord;
they spread each wing
for to dance and swing,
for to sing the chord,
for the newborn king,
for to praise the Lord.

All the shepherds lie
in the fields nearby
as they hear the chord
from the angels high
in the brightening sky
‘bout the child adored
they know God is high
in the baby Lord.

All the people pray
kneeling in the hay
by the baby born
here for us today.
For God’s love will stay
with our hearts forlorn
when he’ll wear one day
a crown of thorn.
