Domenica XVI post Pentecosten or the Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost corresponds to the Twenty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time, the parable of the wedding feast (Luke 14) being kept for year C of the three-year lectionary, with the exhortation to Peter to take up the cross (Matt. 16:21-27) and the defilement from within (Mark 7:1-23) for years A & B.
