'Editions'?

There's some possible ambiguity between "incompletely edited works" such as Scenes from the Saga of King Olaf, Op. 30 (Edward Elgar) and works that have been completed by several editors, each of whose editions are 'incomplete' by themselves. It does seem to me reasonable that As torrents in summer (Edward Elgar) (or any excerpt that has a Larger work field in the general information) does not have the {{IncompleteWork}} tag, but I think it might be very useful to have a category that identifies gaps such as Cantata BWV 7 - Christ unser Herr zum Jordan kam (Johann Sebastian Bach) while excluding Cantata BWV 4 - Christ lag in Todesbanden (Johann Sebastian Bach).

So, do we need a separate Category:Incompletely edited works, or shall the lead here be modified? Richard Mix 19:08, 20 June 2012 (CDT)
