German text   Frisch ist mein sinn/   klein ist mein gwin/   gar tapffer wil ichs wagen/   der mirs nit günt/   das er erblindt/   er darff mir nit nachfragen/   geb er mir gnug/   lebt ich mit fug/   keins gelts wolt ich nit schonen/   so sing ich doch mein Liedlein noch,   und geh mir auß den bonen.

English translation My mind is fresh   though my profit is small/   courageously I will confront/   him who does not fawour me/   he is blind/   and will not ask fore me/   if he gives me enought   I will live exiled/   I will not spare any money   and I will still sing my songs,   and continue my own way.
