Original text and translations

German.png German text

O lieber Herre Gott, wecke uns auf,
daß wir bereit sein,
wenn dein Sohn kömmt,
ihn mit Freuden zu empfahen
und dir mit reinem Herzen zu dienen,
durch denselbigen deinen lieben Sohn
Jesum Christum, unsern Herren,
Amen.

French.png French translation

O aimable Seigneur Dieu, éveille-nous,
afin que nous soyons prêts
à accueillir ton Fils dans la joie,
lorsque celui-ci viendra,
et que nous puissions te servir d’un cœur pur,
grâce à celui-là même qui est ton Fils bien-aimé,
Jésus Christ, notre Seigneur,
Amen.

English.png English translation

O dear Lord God, wake us up,
so that we are ready,
when your Son comes,
to receive him with joy
and to serve you with a pure heart,
by the same, thy beloved Son
Jesus Christ, our Lord,
Amen.
