General Information

Title: Pastoral-Messe in G (Kurze und sehr leichte), Op. 45a
Composer: Joseph Gruber

Number of voices: 4vv   Voicing: SATB

Genre: SacredMass

Languages: Greek, Latin
Instruments: Organ

First published:

Description: This romantic era Christmas Mass, very nice and solemn, is not difficult to sing. However, the soprano (and tenor) parts are quite high, so might be better to sing it transposed down to F Major, if there are low basses in the choir. The ease of singing this Mass in F Major seems to be offset by a more solemn and sonorous sound G Major.
