Biography

Reginald Jacques, was a British orchestra conductor and musical educator. From 1931 to 1960, he conducted the Bach Choir, including its annual performance of the German composer Johann Sebastian Bach's St. Matthew Passion. In 1936, he formed the Jacques String Orchestra and arranged many works for it.
