Biography

Thomas Purday was a composer, a partner in the publishing firm of Button & Purday, and the proprietor of a circulating library in Sandgate, Kent.

The collection Harmonia Sacra Londinensis was compiled and in part composed by Thomas Purday, and published by Button & Purday (the name of the firm is given in the imprint as 'Purday & Button') around 1807.
