Alfonso Ganassi

Life

Flourished: 1576-1609

Biography Distantly related to Sylvastro Ganassi, Alfonso spent most of his career in Bologna where he was employed as a trombone player. He taught counterpoint to Camillo Cortellini. His only surviving works are a bare handful of pieces published in multi-composer collections.
