ti sanerò la piaga.

Se gl’occhi miei t’han superato e vinto,
credei l’amor tuo finto,
Ma hor sei vincitore,
che sei di me signore.

E s’allegrar pò mia bocca e’l viso
La terr’ e’l paradiso,
Rallegrati, ben mio,
Che sol in te viv’io.

Non star in forse, e prendi, Anima mia,
Di me la monarchia,
Che per soverchia voglia
Io morirò di doglia.

Wenn durch meine Locken, wenn durch mein Antlitz,
mein Herz, Ihr erschlagen seid,
dann werde ich, die eine Zauberin der Liebe bin,
deine Wunde heilen.

Als meine Augen dich bezwungen und besiegt haben,
glaubte ich, deine Liebe sei geheuchelt,
aber nun bist du Sieger,
der du mein Herrscher bist.

Und wenn mein Mund und mein Antlitz
Erde und Paradies aufheitern können,
dann freue dich, mein Liebster,
denn nur in dir lebe ich.

Zweifle nicht länger und übernimm, meine Seele,

I, being a sorceress of love,

When my eyes had conquerd and defeated you,
I thought your love feigned,
but now you are victor,
you, my sovereign.

And if my mouth and my face
can brighten earth and paradise,
then rejoice, my love,
for only in you I live.

Don’t doubt any longer, and assume, my soul,
lordship over me,
for out of excessive longing
I will die of sorrow.
