Away we go o’er the glistening snow
While the moonbeams sparkle bright;
Away we go though the cold winds blow,
And merry our hearts tonight.

Oh, hear the merry bells a-ringing,
And the boys and girls a-singing
Merrily, merrily on we’re bound,
While the moonbeams sparkle brightly,
Lover’s hearts are beating lightly,
Bounding merrily on.

With cheerful hearts we will glide along,
While the wintery breezes blow;
O’er hill and dale ring our merry song
As merrily on we go.

Away, away, let each heart be gay,
Now a thrilling song we’ll sing;
The hours of joy soon will pass away,
