Biography

Florence Everilda Goodeve [née Knowlys] was born in Heysham, Lancashire, England. Musical as a child, she was composing by age fourteen. She wrote many piano pieces and songs, and was known as an excellent painter. For a time she lived in Calcutta, India, as her husband Louis Arthur Goodeve (1841–1888) served as an advocate in the High Court. She died in London.
